Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Chemistry Consulting Group is proud to partner with VIH Aviation Group to search for a Sr. Financial Reporting Accountant. Located at the Victoria International Airport, Sidney, BC and with an abundance of talent and aviation experience to draw from, the VIH Aviation group is well poised to provide quality helicopter services throughout the world. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Sr. Financial Reporting Accountant will be responsible for a full spectrum of accounting duties including monthly, quarterly and annual financial & operational reporting, complex accounting and tax analysis, corporate tax return and compliance for multiple entities. Responsibilities * Develop and implement comprehensive accounting and financial reporting practices, policies and processes that include strong internal controls, to ensure financial reporting is in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. * Complete monthly and year ends along with preparation or review of quarterly and annual financial statements for all Corporate entities including complex consolidation and combinations; * Ensure a disciplined accounting closing and reporting process for timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting on an established timeframe. Qualifications * Significant experience related to the duties listed above, normally acquired through several years of progressively responsible experience, plus the completion of a University Degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting or Finance and a Professional Accounting Designation. * Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
