Senior Accountant

Reports to: Practitioner Job Overview: Our ideal candidate would be a qualified CPA with several years' field experience in public practice, a self-starter, a personable individual with a good sense of humour. We have an amazing assortment of clients, mainly small businesses, but several audit and review clients who require a higher skill set. This is a long-term opportunity, not a stepping-stone up the corporate ladder, so we prefer someone with maturity and balance in their life. Responsibilities and Duties: * Manage and prepare client audits, reviews, and compilation engagements * Prepare personal T1 tax returns * Perform secondary reviews of files (corporate and personal) where necessary * Conduct individual and corporate tax planning * Continuous communication with practitioner with respect to engagements and progress * Closely manage client relationships and meet with clients where necessary * Assist with management, training, and assistance of staff * Attend professional development courses, seminars and workshops to develop accounting and taxation knowledge * Other duties as assigned If you are interested in this position, please send a note and a brief resume to chris@sidneycpa.com to set up a meeting.
