Horse Board in Metchosin available Sept 1, 2022. Tavane Farm is located next to the galloping goose trail for miles of trail riding and a short hack away from the Metchosin Community Riding Ring (requires registration at the Community Hall). The horses here live in a herd environment and roam 2 acres year around. They are paddocked at night for night feed. Facility amenities: • 60ft sand round pen • Large Shared Paddock w/shelter • Access to self hay/grain storage with capacity of storing 30 bales at a time • Group turn-out and seasonal grass turn-out available • Easy access to the galloping goose • Short hack to the Metchosin Community Riding ring. • Adult atmosphere Options: Self-board – It is your responsibility to feed, clean and water your horse daily. Local hay can be purchased from me for seasonal rates or you can procure your own. There is hay/feed storage in the shed at the top of one of the paddocks for 25 bales. We can throw your morning hay feed, if horse is being turned out in the group environment. It would be your responsibility to work out a shared cleaning schedule with the property owner. $300 a month. Board Includes: - Use of Paddock - Use of Round Pen - Use of Hay Storage - Water - Some Tack Storage Full board – Hay, grain, water is supplied and fed by the property owner. Hay 2 x a day and grain at dinner feed. Specialty grain or supplements to be supplied by horse owner. The paddock is shared with another horse. Paddock/field cleaning is included with board. $650 a month. Board Includes: - Use of Paddock - Use of Round Pen - Water - Feeds/Cleaning of paddock/field included - Some Tack Storage Well behaved horses only, no biters, kickers, cribbers or chewers – gelding preferred.
