$15 · Seeking bilingual student to play with toddler

We would like to expose our bright and cheerful 18-month-old son to a second language. We are looking for a bilingual high school or university/college student to come to our home to play with him in a non-English language for one hour a week. We work from home and will be around while you play; you won't be doing any diaper changing, feeding, tantrum-calming... just playing. We are hoping for someone who speaks French or Mandarin, but may be open to other languages. We live about one block from Lambrick Park Secondary. Evenings would work best for us, but we are flexible with the time. Pay is $15/hour. You must: -Be a native speaker of another language as well as fluent in English -Be chatty and fun in your play -Be constantly warm and patient, and never ever lose your temper with children -Love young children and have experience with young children -Avoid using gender stereotypes while playing (e.g. avoid saying that certain toys are for boys vs. girls) -Be accepting of LGBTQ families -Be reliable and punctual Please email to tell us about yourself.
