Security Guard - Full Time & Part Time

Footprints Security is a 100% locally-owned and operated security services provider, proudly serving Vancouver Island since 1980. Footprints Security's Central Island branch is seeking licensed Security Guards immediately to join our Static Guard team. Qualifications and Skills: A valid BC Security Licence is required for all security positions. We're looking for candidates able to work nights and weekends in a variety of settings. Applicants must be comfortable using computers and smart phones. Some work sites will require standing, walking and performing both interior and exterior foot patrols. Other sites may involve extended periods of driving and mobile patrol checks. Ability to work both alone and with the public is required, strong communication skills are an asset. Applicants that posses a valid BC Driver's License and OFA training will be given preference. Footprints Security offers a 40-hour Basic Security Training (BST) course running from Monday to Friday, beginning at 8:30 AM and ending at 4:30 PM at our training facility in Nanaimo. There is a 2-hour exam following course completion. To obtain a BC Security Worker License, you must be eligible to work in Canada as a citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid work permit. You cannot have any criminal convictions related to security and must be of 19 years of age or older. Courses are run monthly and guarantee a job interview for all those who pass the course and obtain their BC security licence.
