Philbrook's Boatyard is currently seeking a positive, outgoing, team oriented individual to fill the position of shipwright. Training provided to successful candidate. General Reporting to the Lead Hand, shipwrights will be responsible for assisting with daily operations, assisting all trades when required. Key Responsibilities * Hauling /launching of vessels , at various hrs. And all weather conditions . * Pressure washing vessels * Anode replacement * Antifouling underwater components * Assist operations with daily activities * General labour duties * Operating small boats * Loading/unloading delivery trucks * General maintenance of infrastructure * Assisting trades as required * Attend all necessary safety meetings * Ability to lift 50 lbs. * Perform other related duties as required Basic Criteria - Experience Requirements * Previous experience working in a general labour capacity * Valid Class 5 license * Must be well organized and capable of time management. * Must be capable of working with a minimum of direct supervision * Demonstrated customer service skills * Hands-on multi-tasker, ability to work independently or as part of a small team * Pleasure Craft Operators Card preferred, see Transport Canada's website * Recreational boating experience useful * Position can by physically demanding * Computer skills - keyboarding, experience using internet Additional Experience (not required but would be considered an asset) * Forklift training would be considered an asset * Experience with power tools * General mechanical aptitude Compensation - Competitive with industry standards and includes a comprehensive health and benefits package with RRSP after 1 year on staff.
