One furnished bedroom available for $625 month plus $125 for collective pantry items and utilities (see list below). Double bed, cosy with lovely view of front garden, plum and oak trees, plus we have a fresh beautiful garden out back! Hello fellow Victorians :) We are looking for a female to share a living space that we cherish very much. It is a small, funky three bedroom house in Saanich near Marigold district and the Galloping Goose trail, buses #9, 21,22 -- we share a permaculture and native bee garden, living room, kitchen & bathroom, mud / laundry room, plus there’s a wood stove running November thru March for warmth. Utilities (hydro, water, internet , Netflix, house phone) and shared pantry items (toilet paper, spices, kitchen and baking staples, laundry soap, dish soap, lightbulbs, etc) are part of our arrangement. It's a really sweet space with two friendly and eco friendly mature housemates, quiet neighbours, shared living room, kitchen and bath. It's a small and beautiful character house and there are lots of garden areas outside for alone time or to surround yourself with friends in the warmer months. Re: Covid - we are in each other's bubble and have arrangements in place. If you need to work or do school from home regularly, we would adjust utilities for you as they are currently based on all of us working out of the house ! No self-employed applicants due to nature of our living space. Ideal housemates: - generally eco conscious - tidy and community house oriented - employed outside the house - gluten free-friendly (not required for you) - willing to take part in indoor / outdoor chores (we have firewood and lawn :) - recycles and composts - likes chickens, willing to chicken-sit on occasion - positive and solution oriented communicator and negotiator (plays well with others) - joyfully lives in small spaces with small footprint - compatible with a furnished room and house We are a fledgling community style house. Values are to share in creating a positive and nourishing home, and to live with others vs living alone. We meet up at least once a month to check in and share a meal. Important questions we like to ask are, What does your home mean to you? What do you hope to gain from sharing a home with others ?
