$800 · Room for Rent: Beachfront Ocean View Unit (Vic West)

We have a furnished room available in our 3bdrm apartment in Vic West at 701 Esquimalt Road available for Feb 1st. No pets and no available parking spots. Rent will be $800 which includes basic common groceries, internet, hydro, cleaning supplies, wear & tear, and extra occupancy fee. Couples considered, but for an additional $200 monthly fee. IN YOUR EMAIL, tell us a bit about yourself, your plans for this year, how long you plan on staying, and days you're free for a virtual meeting and walk-through. We will then meet shortlisted folks in-person while observing COVID-19 safety protocols. Due to the number of applicants, please answer all that we've asked in your initial email to save time and ensure you get a response. The unit overlooks the Songhees Walkway with a breathtaking view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains. The apartment has several amenities such as 24hr rooftop gym, rooftop community room, 24hr laundry, and beach access. It's a 20 min walk, 5 min bike ride, or a 5 min bus ride via route 15 or 25 to downtown from the apartment. UVic is a 30 min bus ride away. The apartment is furnished, as is the bedroom with a queen-size bed, dresser, night table, lamp, surround sound system, and a mini-fridge. We're looking for a clean, courteous, COVID-cautious and friendly roommate ranging in age from 23-35. Absolutely no drugs and no pets. Applicants will be interviewed and the best candidate selected by Jan 15th. Please note that the potential roommate(s) will be further vetted by the resident manager. Move-in will be on Jan 31st. I am a 27yo female Marine Biologist, writer, and photographer. My partner is a 30yo male professional working for the navy. We're both cheerful and enthusiastic. We don't smoke or do any drugs, but we do enjoy occasional beverages, creating cocktails, and hosting gatherings (pre-pandemic *sigh*).
