Available for rent as of February 1, 2019 will be one room in a 9 unit, all-women rooming house. The room comes furnished with a bed, side tables, and plenty of storage for clothes. The room is located on the ground floor, and includes a double bed, a large wardrobe, an armoire that has a large cubby with a shelf (originally for a tv) and two large drawers, a computer desk & chair, two side tables, and garment rack if you'd like. This room faces the back yard so it's quiet, and boasts two windows (most of tie rooms have one). The ceiling is pretty low, only 6', so it does suit a short person better than a tall one (lol). The room is unit #8 (there are 9 rooms in total) and is $650 a month (with a $325 security deposit). Each floor has its own kitchen and bathroom, and recycling and composting are an EXTREMELY important part of living at this house. There are ladies from every kind of background, and range in age from 20 - early 50's. A minimum 6 month lease must be signed, and there are no pets and no smoking allowed. We prefer guests kept to a minimum and same with overnight guests, as there is no communal living area. That being said, it is still a very friendly atmosphere and everyone gets along great! It is pretty quiet at night too. If you have a car, there is plenty of street parking and at least one spot left in front of the house. The majority of us don't drive however, and because of our central location, we don't really need to! We are a ten minute walk to the downtown core, and two minutes to multiple bus stops, as well as Tim Hortons, family and Chinese restaurants, and the Galloping Goose bike trail.
