Residential Drafting Technician (work from home)

Step One Design is an award winning Victoria based residential design firm looking for a Residential Drafting / Design Technician to work on a ongoing steady contract basis. We are a progressive sought after firm creating quality design, using Vectorworks and Renderworks. We are seeking a long term relationship for the right individual to join our team to produce detailed accurate construction working drawings for residential design projects. We are seeking the right person who is diligent, passionate about their work, detail and technically orientated with willingness to learn and contribute to our success. We are looking for an individual with: 3-5 years experience preferred. Proficient in Vectorworks 2020 and Renderworks design software. Understanding fo regional and local zoning bylaws located within the CRD and Vancouver Island. Comprehensive knowledge of Part 9 of the British Columbia Building Code and related appendixes Strong understanding of wood frame residential construction practices and methods for coastal buildings of British Columbia Able to work with limited supervision and work independently.
