Are you highly organised and would love to independently run an office?

A large, local food distributor in Victoria, BC, is looking for a top a top receiving clerk and order desk candidate

Opportunity: Full time, temporary with a strong possibility of going permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 8-4:30pm

Main Responsibilities;

* Receive products from vendor deliveries
* Compare packing lists to company purchase orders and ensure that the products in each delivery match the packing slips
* Maintain records of all received shipments
* Match invoices against purchase order and receiving documents and assist with inventory control
* Resolve shipment discrepancies by collaborating with company buyer or shipper
* Process and return incorrect shipments
* Back up accounts receivable staff on processing customer credits
* Handle customer inquiries and take customer orders
* Prepare customer orders, generate and send out invoices
* Scan invoices into Fox-it system
* Process credit card payments via debit machine and in Orbital
* Provide backup support to the Finance and Sales departments
* Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc


* $18-20/hour to start

Education and Experience

* 2 years + experience in junior accounting experience
* Knowledge of office administration and procedures is considered an asset
* Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures is considered an asset
