It doesn't get much more classic than this! A good condition 70s Twin Reverb amplifier. If you play with pedals, this is the second best amplifier on the planet. Although I usually plug right in and ride the wave of PURE TONE! It also has the second best reverb in existence (second only to the early 60s octal tube driven Ampeg Reverberocket if you are curious). This has been (mostly) blackface modded (the master volume has been left because IT'S REALLY LOUD so it comes in handy). This amp has been the personal amp of amp tech and designer Mike Shaw (me) for the last 15 or so years. As I now have the #1 best amp for pedals (and clean amp in general) on the planet, it's time to let this one go (grudgingly) [#1 is the early 70s four input HIWATT Custom 100 btw]. It has two different speakers in it currently (a cannabis Rex and a Celestion G12-H 80) for maximum flexibility. They blend beautifully, or can be mic'd separately to accentuate the character of each. The reverb really is heavenly (after it was modified). And all the usual issues with these amps have been fixed: -Control ground plane cracks repaired and dedicated ground bus added -Balance control converted to actual bias control ) -Out of spec screen and grid resistors replaced -All out of spec signal resistors replaced -Power supply resistors converted to metal films -Transformers tightened -Inputs, outputs, pots and switches cleaned and tightened. -It has had all of the electrolytic caps replaced (Filter, bias and cathode bypass) Some scratching on the face plate, but nothing unexpected for being 44 years old. Tolex is good.
