QA Analyst

Megabyte Programming Services Limited is the developer of the Megabyte Property Tax System (MPTS), a fully integrated, California property tax system. As a permanent, full-time Quality Assurance Analyst for Megabyte's Victoria, B.C. office, you will be responsible for the quality of MPTS and Megabyte's other software products. Duties: * Collaborate with other QA Analysts, developers and team leads to identify test scenarios * Plan and design clear and concise, actionable test plans and cases to uncover defects and improve the overall quality of Megabyte's software * Plan, schedule and prioritize your workload * Execute and validate test scenarios and scripts and analyze, record and track issues/defects and their resolution * Work with team members to design, develop and release quality products to Megabyte's clients Competencies: * Self-motivated, detail-oriented, creative and curious * Good at providing feedback to developers and willing to stand up for quality * Comfortable working alone and as part of a team with minimal supervision * Committed to meeting deadlines and delivering projects on time Requirements: * A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst * A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, other technical discipline or equivalent work experience * SQL database experience * A strong knowledge of web computing * A strong knowledge of test practices and methodologies * Strong written and oral communication skills * A desire to learn complex programs
