Production Staff – Morning Shift- $250 Signing Bonus

$250 Signing Bonus! (paid after 90 day anniversary of employment) No Baking Experience Required. Training Provided. Location: 6828 Kirkpatrick Crescent, Central Saanich BC Portofino Bakery is is looking to add 3 more Production staff, which we call "Baker's Assistant's" to our team. These shifts start at 5am and run for approximately 8 hours. This job is best suited for someone who thrives doing physical work. To be successful in this position, you must be able to: Work on your feet for 8 hours a day Work in a fast-paced environment Complete repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail Consistently lift 50 lbs bins Portofino Bakery operates 7 days a week, preference will be given to those who have open availability. Job Description: We currently have 6 production lines; each production line has a team who operates it. Within those teams, each team member performs different tasks throughout the day to ensure our customers receive their orders each day. Some of the tasks that Bakers Assistants carry out in a day include, but are not limited to: Gathering ingredients Scaling ingredients Cutting and portioning dough Panning dough Applying toppings Organizing pans and racks Organizing products in the proofer Scoring bread Managing oven timing General tidying and cleaning Minimum Skills and Qualifications: Physically Fit Food Safe Level 1 (we provide) Hepatitis A Vaccination (we provide) Team Player Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure Ability to communicate effectively in English Available to work all days of the week and evenings Compensation: $15.70/hour $250 bonus after 90 days of employment Medical and Dental Benefits after 6 months (for staff who work over 30 hours/wk) Opportunity to make up to $16.70/hr after 6 months (based on performance) Annual wage increases Annual cost of living wage increase Opportunity for advancement Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
