$50 · Private French Immersion Teacher for Home Learning

Primary French Immersion teacher offering private classes for families choosing to bubble at home during the 2020-2021 school year. 2-3x per week up for up to 3 hours of instruction in small groups (3-8 children). $50 per day per child. I have worked as a French immersion classroom teacher in the public school system for five years, with glowing references. Some members of my family are at high risk, so I have chosen to take a leave of absence for one year to ensure that they are safe. I would like support families looking to keep their bubble small while continuing their learning in French. I will only be teaching a maximum of ten children each week, most from the same families who are also practicing social distancing, thereby limiting the potential of exposure. $50 per child per day - The classes would consist of children from 2 or 3 different families meeting 2 or 3 times each week for three hours of language instruction in a family's home or a common space (library, park, etc). A virtual classroom will provide activities to complete for the remaining time. Mask wearing will be strongly encouraged and proper hygienic procedures will be followed. $75 per child per day - The classes would consist of only your children each week for two sessions, with three hours of language instruction in your family's home. A virtual classroom will provide activities to complete for the remaining time. Mask wearing will be strongly encouraged and proper hygienic procedures will be followed. $50 per week - Full distance learning with a one-hour session each week of one-on-one instruction in French, tailored to the needs and interests of your learner. No mask required! Located near the University of Victoria, but willing to support families all across the CRD.
