I have tutored top executives in Moscow where only very well qualified and dedicated English specialists are allowed to register and work. I have personally tutored the chairwoman of one of the largest diamond banks in the world as well as oil and finance executives from top international firms. This was intensive instruction in a tough work environment that demanded results and they accordingly paid top dollar. My work has taken me around the world and I have lived in four countries (USA, UK, Russia and Canada) and at 59 I have considerable experience. I am not an English teacher in his/her 20's with no formal qualifications or a low end teaching English certificate. I have a bachelor of Science degree in Zoology B.Sc. (Wales), a University of Cambridge CELTA and have traveled the world as a professional photographer. Born in the United Kingdom, I am a true English speaker and fully understand the challenges the English language presents to those dedicated to learning all its nuances and complications. In a world where even the BBC publishes statements like "most of the aircrafts..." and "there is a lot of conservative ministers ...", I see the language under constant attack. Single recharge intense revision lesson, $75. Exam preparation 3 hour lesson $120. I do not refund missed lessons or tolerate tardiness. I do not charge for my initial assessment and consultation. You must be able to set aside sufficient study time to complete homework tasks within my prescribed lesson plan. Travel and travel time are included in my rates for Greater Victoria.
