$15 · Prep Cook/Dishwasher

We are looking to add a prep cook/dishwasher to our tight-knit team. If you are a motivated, self-starting, and enthusiastic person who enjoys working as part of a team, we want to hear from you! This position has a flexible start and end time, as we want to ensure that employees can work in a comfortable, safe situation during the Covid 19 pandemic. Our ideal candidate would be able to work 3-4 shifts a week, with approximately half the shift being prep work, half dishwashing. We would like our candidate to be familiar with knife skills and possess general cooking knowledge, though we are willing to train the right applicant. Enthusiasm and work ethic are essential in this respect! Duties include following proper dish washing procedures, general cleaning duties, and ensuring that the kitchen is ready for the next day's service. The prep work will involve preparing salads, sauces, appetisers, and a variety of items for sale in the shop. We encourage those with a passion for food and high personal standards to apply. This position is well suited to students, as we are close to Camosun, UVic, and Oak Bay High.
