Perm Part Time Office Admin

Megabyte Systems is the developer of the Megabyte Property Tax System (MPTS), a fully integrated, California property tax system. With over 30 years in business, Megabyte is a stable, progressive, low-stress company with an open and dynamic work environment. We currently require a permanent, part-time (20 hours per week) administrative assistant for Megabyte's Victoria, B.C. office. You will: * Document employees' hours * Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports * Track project time * Assist in the training of new employees * Update and maintain office policies and procedures * Assist in the coordination of the various roles (business analysts, web programmers, SQL developers, quality assurance analysts and technical writer) to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner * Order/purchase office supplies * Submit and reconcile expense reports * Provide assistance to team members as required * Liaise with the building management company * Perform general office administration tasks as required You are: * Self-motivated, detail-oriented, creative and curious * Skilled at planning, scheduling and prioritizing your workload * Committed to meeting deadlines * Willing to take responsibility You need: * Proven experience as an administrative assistant * Knowledge of office management systems and procedures * Experience with and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel * Experience with and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Access databases * Working knowledge of office equipment (printers, copiers, etc.) * Strong written and oral communication skills * Excellent time management skills and multi-tasking abilities * A knowledge of organizational development and culture, leadership, human relations, conflict resolution and motivation * Ability to contend with a wide variety of people on various issues Email your resume to JOBS-YYJ@megabytesystems.com
