$18 · Pack leader needed for busy off-leash dog hiking business

Please have knowledge of dog behaviour. It takes considerable skill to manage many off-leash dogs while minimizing negative behaviours and ensuring everyone has a good time. The ideal candidate will have worked in a group environment such as a daycare, kennel, veterinary office or off-leash dog hiking company, but we are willing to train the perfect candidate. Established dog walking company is looking for a full-time pack leader. You will be responsible for managing up to 8 dogs at a time on an off-leash wilderness hike. Hikes are two hours in length. This position is full-time with on the job training. You must: Have a clean, valid Class 5 driver's license Have a clean criminal record Have experience with dogs, body language, behaviour Be able to physically control up to 8 dogs at a time Be physically fit, able to hike 2+ hours over uneven terrain, rain or shine Be responsible, reliable and able to work independently Be available Monday through Friday between the hours of 830 and 430 Ideally live in or near the West Shore Have a cell phone (preferably smartphone) Wage starts at $18 once paid training is completed.
