Outdoor Education Instructor

Western Educational Adventures (WEA) is looking for outdoor education facilitators (instructor/guides) to work either or a combination of: 1. A Spring Break Contract from March 15-27, 2020 2. A summer contract from mid June to the end of August/first week of September 2020. Minimum qualifications:  Experience working with children, youth and adults  Strong recreational background, experience/interest in the outdoors  Clear criminal record check  40 hr Wilderness First Aid  Food safe certification  Bronze Cross certification  Clean driving record/abstract and insurance history (only necessary if you have your class 4, 2 or 1) Applicants may apply with proof of registration for missing certifications. Desired qualifications:  Class 4 unrestricted, class 2 or class 1 drivers license  80 Hour wilderness first aid  National Lifeguard certification  WSI  Kayak or canoe guiding certification  Kayak or canoe Paddle Canada or other skills certification  Top rope climbing instructor or higher  Experience working with children, youth and adults in outdoor/wilderness settings Pay: $130/day: base rate + $25/day: class 4 unrestricted drivers license +$10/day: 80 hr wilderness first aid +$10 to +$25/day experience level +$5/day: FoodSafe certification $180/day: maximum day rate for 2020 To apply and for more information, visit: https://www.westernadventures.ca/careers.htm
