Operator for Computerized Mat Cutter (CMC)

The CMC (Computerized Mat Cutter) operator is tasked with running and maintaining our computerized mat cutters. These Gunnar Mat Cutters are designed to cut picture mats in volume and all designs and layouts are prepared using the proprietary machine software. The operator enters the designs and instructs the machine to cut. The operator loads and unloads the machine and ensures the finished product is cut correctly and in the correct quantity according to orders received. The operator is responsible for the safe and accurate use of the machine, the materials and the orders that are required to be cut. Working together with quality control and production staff to ensure orders are cut and processed within the dates required and assisting in other areas including maintaining a clean and organized work space are also part of this role. The candidate will have a good knowledge of personal computer operation and standard software. Experience with and CNC machines and in a production environment would be helpful but not required. Training will be provided. A good attitude, the ability to take instruction, work with others as well as manage their own work schedule is required. Apply with resume.
