I paid $8000 for the car and spend a good $8000 more on restoring and repairs. Obviously I am into this car for at least $16,000 and at $8,000 this is a "GIVE AWAY PRICE". I don't care what blue book says, they don't consider what has been done. If you want a $3000 Mini then go buy one, good luck with that. If you are looking for a Mini that you will not be fixing after you buy it, look no further. This car is said to be the best model year made by Mini owners. Mini's that I have viewed for sale have none of this work done. I have had the car for just over 6 years and I used it for 6 months and parked it for the winter every year. 2003 Mini Cooper S - 500km+ per tank/ around 24MPG/38.6KPG city & 33MPG/53.1KPG (13.275 per liter) highway. 6 speed manual transmission, LOADED OPTIONS. Very clean car, 210,000 Km. A lot of work has been done. Major parts and minor parts; You get what you pay for in the real world. I made this a respectable vehicle before selling; I am using my truck year round now so my Mini must go. Parts wear out and must be replaced right. (Replaced supercharger); (New clutch, flywheel, clutch slave unit, about 500km on it); (New air intake hose); (New water pump); (New rear wiper arm); (New tail lights); (New power amplifier); (New battery); (New windshield & side moldings); (New rotors brakes and calipers); (New shocks springs and mounts); (New valve cover gasket; oil stem gasket; plug gaskets); (New oil pressure censor); (New coolant reservoir); (New oil dip-stick); (New front inner CV Boots); (New timing chain tensioner); (New coil pack and plugs); (New cooler fan relay & coolant censor); (New thermostat): New gas cap). There is one issue I have not bothered to deal with because we simply don't need it on Vancouver Island and that is the AC; AC has not worked since I bought the car, I simply open the windows and sunroof. Also comes with - (Custom alloy Mini rims ($1100), newer set of all season tires). Also a set of Michelin X-ICE (THE BEST) winter tires mounted on separate rims. Look around and ask questions about other Mini's and you will find that this is excellent value with the work done and overall condition. You will not find many if any 2003 models that compare with this Mini.
