Happy to offer another fantastic Matchless amp for sale. If you have never owned or played a Matchless, a few things are evident, immediately upon getting into it. Firstly, the build quality -- true point-to-point hand wired, no circuit boards, no turret mounting, and only the very best components go into these amps. Next, the cabs are second to none. They use the best available 11 ply Baltic birch wood and the toughest grade vinyl. Baffle designs are optimally tuned to produce maximum clean headroom and smooth overdrive -- these cabs produce deep bass response, do not rattle, and are built with the most discerning professionals in mind. Now, tone: the 30/15 is a single channel, quad el-84, class A amplifier that is switchable between 30 and 15 watts of creamy, 3D tube tone. Exceptional clarity, detail, touch-sensitivity, and chime. Massive clean headroom in 30w mode makes this amp a dream for gigging musicians who need a top-tier pedal platform, while switching to 15w makes it a great studio tool as well. Switchable impedence allows the amp to be run in 4, 8, and 16 ohms. This example is quite clean with only minor signs of wear and has been recently retubed. The speaker is a custom-built-for-Matchless Celestion G12H30. With the reverb upgrade this amp would be 3700 CAD, before taxes -- i think my price reflects excellent value.
