Masonry Laborer

We're seeking key individuals to add to our team to learn and grow with Banyan. Mason Labourer/Tender Experienced mason tender/labourer needed for a growing company. Pay dependent on work experience and skill level. Job Responsibilities: Promotes a culture of health, safety, and environmental protection on the project by taking an active role in the implementation of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to achieve compliance of Banyan HS&E standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations, and codes responsible for masonry tasks including but not limited to: Mix mortar with a gas/electric mixer to a proper consistency taking into account the working conditions General cleanup of the site daily and weekly as the job progresses. Making sure safety is always the main concern. Set up work the area for the masons to allow their work to move efficiently and safely Set up scaffolding safely and efficiently Use a masonry saw to cut brick, block, and stone Education and Experiences: Must be able to lift heavy materials up to 80lbs Must always be punctual and ready to work with the required safety gear (hard hat, steel toe boots, high viz vest) job-specific safety equipment will be provided (safety glasses, hearing protection etc) Minimum 2-5 years with a masonry company Licenses and Certifications Rough terrain forklift training: telehandler/variable reach (Considered an asset) Benefits: Extended health care Dental care Vision care Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $18.00 to $30.00 /hour
