We're seeking key individuals to add to our team to learn and grow with Banyan. Apprentice/Journeyman Mason We're looking at adding key masons to our crew. All levels are welcome. Job Responsibilities: Promotes a culture of health, safety, and environmental protection on the project by taking an active role in the implementation of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to achieve compliance of Banyan HS&E standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations, and codes responsible for formwork tasks including but not limited to: Must be able to layout foundations and patterns using measuring tools Verify the vertical and horizontal elevation of a structure Mix specific amounts of sand, cement, lime and water for mortar or refractory mixtures Ability to lift, move and work with heavy tools and materials such as cement bags and blocks Train, mentor and promote a healthy and safe work culture Lead by example Coordinate activities to be accomplished during the week. Work with a crew throughout the week to ensure successful completion. Reading blueprints, shoot elevations and provide layouts Ability to work in diverse settings to produce steady and functional products Education and Experiences: Minimum 1-5 years with a masonry company Proficiency reading blueprints, shooting elevations and providing layouts Licenses and Certifications Forklift operator certification (Considered an asset) Qualified applicants must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
