Marine Mechanic

Busy marine repair facility seeking a mechanic to join our team full time. This position requires marine mechanical experience, positive attitude and a strong work ethic as well as working well with others, problem solving and reliability. Start Date: TBD Schedule: Full time Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5 pm and some weekends Wage: Based on experience Responsibilities:  Diagnose and repair all makes and models of sterndrives, inboards, outboards and personal watercraft.  Maintain time records on work orders  Perform maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel inboard engines  Minimum 3 years work experience on maintenance of small equipment, gasoline and diesel marine engines  Ability to repair equipment with accuracy and speed.  Work effectively & cooperatively with fellow employees  Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing about repairs Requirements:  Marine Trade Certificate (Preferred)  Valid Novice or higher Driver's License and vehicle  Own appropriate tools & tool box  English (Required) Assets:  Volvo, Mercruiser certification (preferred)  Suzuki, Yamaha, Mercury certification (preferred)  Pleasure craft operator card Experience:  Mechanical Skills: 3 years (Preferred) Applicant must be able to legally work in British Columbia, Canada at time of application.
