Marine Diesel Mechanic

Delta Marine Service in Sidney, BC is seeking a marine diesel mechanic. The ideal candidate is punctual and reliable. Must be able to multi-task, work well under pressure, be organized, possess attention to detail, able to work independently or assist as needed. Responsibilities: - Reviewing work orders and discussing work to be performed with the direct supervisor - Conduct a thorough assessment prior to starting a job - Perform mechanical overhaul and repair work on diesel marine engines and related marine equipment and systems - Troubleshoot and test marine engines and equipment to determine need for repairs or adjustments - Record time and job details in project management software, assign part to the appropriate vessel Required Experience: - Third or Fourth year Marine Mechanic - Cummins Systems Hours are Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm.
