Little tubby wood stoves are made from recycled propane tanks. The tanks are oven baked to loosen paint or powder coating, then sandblasted. These stoves are being used in wall tents, rv's, campers, ice fishing shacks, boats, etc. The faceplates are 1/8 thick steel (10 gauge) with tight fitting doors to make them more airtight. The cylindrical shape of the firebox resists heat distortion. Propane tanks used are either 10 lb or 30 lb tanks. Baffles have been added to improve efficiency and can be used in open, partially open or closed positions.
