Landscape Construction - Junior Supervisor

We are looking for a junior foreman to join our construction team. This is a full-time permanent position; we offer competitive wages and a benefit package. Landscaping construction experience is not required. Experience may be an asset if combined with adaptability. The ideal candidate is someone who has an interest in landscaping construction and looking to make a positive career change. Responsibilities will include: ● Grading and site work ● Wood fence installation ● Retaining wall installation ● Hardscape installation (pavers, granite steps, bluestone etc..) ● Plant and lawn installation ● Garden cleanups ● Irrigation installation ● Hedge pruning You will be responsible for, when not working under our construction manager, managing a small team (1-2 additional employees), and ensuring that work is completed in a safe, efficient and detailed manner. You will be required to drive a pickup truck and trailer or small dump truck at times. Required: ● Min 2 years of recent experience in a leadership role ● Proven ability to manage a small team with a positive approach ● Proven organizational and technical skills, ability to plan, track tasks, and deliver to agreed timelines ● Demonstrated customer service skills and a positive attitude is a must ● Clean driving abstract and ability to maneuver trailer ● Physically fit and able to lift a min of 50lbs We Offer: ● Full compensation package (with extended benefits) ● Performance reviews ● Opportunities to advance ● Red Seal apprenticeship opportunities and professional development budget
