James Bay Wado Karate is a not for profit Karate school that works toward improved physical strength and stamina, better focus and concentration, greater self discipline, competency in self defense and, most importantly, increased self confidence Wado is perhaps the purest form of karate-do (the way of the empty hands). Wado is in essence a primary combination of Gichin Funakochi?s Shurite karate and Tasusaburo Nakayama?s Shindo Yoshinryu jujutsu, incorporating some techniques from the Japanese Kobudo. Some of the harsher resistive or hard contact elements of sparring technique, typical of many karate styles, are not present in Wado James Bay Wado Karate is a not for profit organization. We teach Karate, we do not sell Karate. Come by and drop in for a class- it is a great way to get fit and feel good. Adult Class Tuesday 7-9.
