Neat older Thinkpad up for grabs. This laptop has built-in Radeon graphics & would be a great for Win98~early XP retro gaming. Would also be a good platform for running 32-bit Linux, Haiku, etc. 1.13GHz Intel Pentium-III Tualatin 640MB PC133 RAM 100GB hard drive ATI Mobility Radeon 7000 (yes, ATI, not AMD :P ) 1024x768 TFT display Floppy drive (works!) & multiple optical drives (DVD + CD.) These can be swapped in & out of the docks as needed. Smaller & thinner than my 13" Macbook Pro. Has that classic *awesome* Thinkpad keyboard in case you want a distraction-free portable writing device. The battery is obviously pretty old but still holds a bit of charge. It's currently running a fresh Windows 2000 Server install with all the drivers, including the hard-to-find IBM configuration & management utilities. The original installers for these utils are on the disk in case you want to reformat it or install something else. There are also a bunch of games/demos & benchmarking stuff on there. Comes with TWO docking stations, a smaller one that is the same footprint as the laptop itself, and a larger one which can take a PCI video card (tested that - it works!) or sound card. The A/C adapter is an original IBM one. One hinge is broken and the screen is a bit wobbly. It stays where you put it though. The rubber coating is ageing, but otherwise it's in good shape. Note: if you "just want a basic PC to get on the internet", this isn't for you. It's better suited for a hobbyist or retro PC enthusiast. WILL GLADLY TRADE. INTERESTED IN: 8 or 16GB (2x8) DDR3 (G-Skill Ripjaws preferred) ASUS P8H67 Super Socket 7 desktop stuff Yes, it's still available. I can probably meet you TODAY. No need to drag things out, just shoot me a message & come by. Located right near Fairway at Quadra & Hillside. I can also deliver if you're within a few km of downtown.
