Hourly Wage: $20.35-$24.25 (Housekeeping); $20.90-$24.93 (Food Service Worker) (temporary wage levelling of $20.56 BMW; $20.90 FSW per MHO Labour Adjustment Plan) ** Broadmead Care will accommodate up to 1.3 FTE for multi-site employees ** Location: Veterans Memorial Lodge - Saanich Positions # / Schedule: 108356 - Set C, 7:30am-3:30pm, 4 on: 2 off shift rotation Status: Regular Full-Time Competition #: 2020-141a Closing Date: Open Until Filled SUMMARY: Housekeeping Under supervision, to carry out light cleaning and maintenance duties of the building interior and of the furniture, equipment, fixtures, and knick-knacks within an assigned area of the building. Food Service Duties include taking and recording food temperatures; setting tables, portion foods in accordance with portion control systems; portion special diet items; assemble meals onto plates/trays; replenish supplies and maintain records; cleaning counters, dining tables and chairs; scrape, rack, wash soiled dishes; assemble clean dishes and small wares; leave written communication for co-workers and Supervisor; close kitchen; other related duties QUALIFICATIONS o Completion of Grade 10 (preferably Grade 12) preferably supplemented by a vocational school course in janitorial services o Food Safe Level I Certification required; preferable completion of basic WHMIS training, MSD Sheets, and some basic knowledge of computers o Some knowledge of the routines involved in a food production or food service operation o Ability to interact effectively with co-workers, the public, and the elderly residents o Ability to meet the physical requirements including lifting, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing and walking o Must be eligible to work with vulnerable adults under the BC Criminal Record Review program o Negative TB Screen NOTES: * For questions related to the position, please contact Tienna Stempowicz, Hospitality Manager at (250) 658-3251 * Submit your resume with cover letter by response to this advertisement * Subject line in email should read: 2020-141a BMW/FSW RFT TLAB * You can also express your interest at "Work With Us" through our website: www.broadmeadcare.com
