Food Service Worker/Housekeeper Downtown Nursing Home We are looking for Housekeepers/ Laundry Workers to join our team at our long term care home. Come and build community and create connections with a career in seniors care. Many support services workers have started in housekeeping and gone to school to become a Care Worker - RCA, Nurse, or Support Services Supervisor (we can help with your practicum hours). Excellent family friendly hours, casual home-like work environment, close to several bus routes (1,2, 3,10,30,31,50,70,71,72,75), close to many downtown amenities. As a casual working in a unionized environment, you start at $16.75/hour ($14.70 base plus approximately $2.05 in lieu of benefits, vacation, and statutory holiday pay.) with an increase after probation. Cross training available for those who are interested into Floor Technician or Food Services (Food Safe required). Housekeeping/Laundry Qualifications: 1. Grade 10 or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 2. WHMIS Certificate an asset. 3. Available for some or all of the following shifts: 7:00 am-2:30 pm for morning housekeeping, 11:00am- 6:30pm for evening housekeeping, 6:30-2:00pm for laundry We're looking forward to talking with you.
