Offering a quiet, clean, peaceful private room in a 3-bedroom home (1 homestay mx). Our home is in a quiet neighborhood, peaceful, and very safe. We are surrounded by a large yard with large trees, lots of birds, and a family of wild deer. There are many large windows facing the South, and a large sundeck facing South (sunny!). We live in Esquimalt, south Victoria, and buses to downtown (20-30 min) are not busy. My name is Michael (dad), and I am a middle-aged gentleman, Canadian by birth. I am an experienced ESL/EAP professor of 15+ years in Asia (Korea, China). In Victoria, I am a local school teacher (French/ESL). I spent 13 years in Korea, and I can cook Korean food. I live with my 15-year-old daughter, Shauna, who is in high school (grade 10). She loves Korea, she is trilingual (English/Korean, French) and she enjoys, painting, music, Netflix, and poetry, and long ocean-side walks. She could possibly be a good housemate for you. We have had 2 Korean high school homestays before (UBC community high school, Vancouver). More recently, we had a short-term Indian student who did a 4-month coop with Amazon. Both basic Asian and Canadian food will be available for $900-1000/mth. If you would like Korean food, it will be more expensive to prepare and so will cost more ($1200/mth).
