Full Time, Part Time, temporary and casual opportunities are available within Broadmead Care working at any of the following sites Veterans Memorial Lodge (Saanich), Nigel House (Saanich), Beckley Farm Lodge (James Bay) and Rest Haven Lodge (Sidney). Hourly Wage: $23.31-$26.37 (temporary wage levelling of $25.83-$26.37 per MHO Labour Adjustment Plan) ** Broadmead Care will accommodate up to 1.3 FTE for multi-site employees ** The Role Under supervision, to carry out duties related to the day-to-day care residents. Duties include carrying out routine tasks related to the personal care of residents such as bathing, dressing, feeding and bed-making; carrying out basic charting and maintaining other record keeping systems; participating in the development and maintenance of care plans; assisting residents in activities of daily living; participating in activities and programs to enhance the social, recreational, mental and physical functioning of residents; performing other related duties. QUALIFICATIONS: * Health Care Aide or Community Support Worker certificate from a reputable College or Agency * Must be registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry * Must be eligible to work with vulnerable children & adults under the BC Criminal Records Review Program * Valid Food Safe Certificate * Negative TB Screen Benefits for Regular Employees: * Extended Health & Dental * 3 weeks' paid vacation * Member of the Public Service Pension Plan Benefits for auxiliary on-call employees: In addition, in lieu of health and welfare benefits, you shall receive $0.78/hour to a maximum of $54.60/bi-weekly pay period. Further, you will earn vacation pay at the rate of 6% of regular earnings which will be paid to you on a bi-weekly basis.
