Up for sale is a handmade OBOE REED case made with a beautiful bloodwood hardwood. This design is unlike any other reed cases sold anywhere. I came up with this design when my son took up the oboe. This case holds 9 reeds and the bar that holds the reeds can be folded up when being used or folded down to be stored. The reeds themselves do not touch the case so that it can dry easily. Also the inside of the case is unfinished whereas the outside of the case has an semi-gloss oil finish. The cover for the case uses 8 very powerful magnets and the cover is opened and closed by sliding the cover sideways with your thumbs. It has a very sleek and modern look. Case measures 4.875"L X 4.125"W X .75"H. The grains of the bloodwood are very beautiful and has a 3 dimensional look to it that I cannot capture with a camera. It changes every time you look at it from a different angle. Also the actual cases are a vivid red color, redder than the pictures. I made these cases about 4 or 5 years ago and only decided to sell them now. My son's teacher who I had given one absolutely loves hers. She said she has soooo many cases but this has been the only one she has been using. I am asking $85, price is FIRM. Case is located in Duncan and if you want to have one this holiday season, you'll need to pick it up before Dec 18th.
