Trying to be healthy we all try to do our best and are told that peels, skins, roots or discards of commercially grown produce which we know are grown with the required , fungicide, herbicide, and insecticide, etc etc,} will produce a healthy "COMPOST". I don't think so! I would recommend a DIGESTER rather than a COMPOSTER . A composter promises to return the sludge for you to use in your garden with the harmful chemicals mostly intact. a digester returns " you" nothing , but returns virtually everything to the earth to be processed through the gut of worms, insects, bacteria, microbes , molds and fungi. etc. back to their basic elements.
