These books are part of a series. Each one treats a different subject: The Cradle of Civilization (Babylon, etc.), Imperial Rome, Byzantium, The Age of Faith, African Kingdoms, Ancient America, The Renaissance, The Age of Exploration, The Reformation, The Age of Russia, The Age of the Enlightenment, The Age of Progress. Price is ten dollars per copy or 100 for the complete set. They are over double that in amazon.com's used books. (I understand that I may not use the dollar sign in the above sentences.) There is an extra copy of "The Cradle of Civilization" All of these books are in hardcover and beautifully illustrated. The commentary has been written in experts in their field. The average length of each book would be about 180 pages. These books have a good balance between images and commentary. Your kids or grandkids would be thankful for growing up with them.
