CS-A58PPWCNH1 Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop Authentic 58 /Push-Pull Pots / Washed Cherry / Nickel Hardware On the Custom Authentic in 2002, the finish and hardware were given an aged appearance, these were the predecessors of the VOS. The original pickups on this guitar were BB2/BB3 and this particular guitar was factory supplied with push-pull wiring (pull for out-of-phase and pull for single coil on the tone controls). The pickups have been replaced with a set of Throbak EdA PAFs and the wiring with Jonesy Blues LP Pro ($1000 upgrade). The tone is greatly improved, and the guitar has an amazing range of sounds. Some people refer to this era as 'The Good Wood Years'The maple top is a thing of beauty. The flames are large and irregular and change drastically from different angles, varying from near plain-top to vibrant flame. The HonduranMahogany has a nice tight and straight grain, the fretboard is Madagascar Rosewood. Neck Dimensions: .890" at 1st fret, .980 at 12th fret. Weight 9.35lbs Everything that shipped with this guitar from the factory is included (Except original BB2/3 and wiring). The original factory Custom Historic case is in excellent condition. The frets were very recently replaced, professionally, with Stewmac wire of appropriate size and composition. The binding nubs were removed and the fret wire now extends to the edge of the board though the tangs remain behind the binding. It feels and plays great. There are some very slight belt buckle marks on the back that are difficult to show on a photograph. No trades, please.
