NYNA Nyna is a grey 16 hand, Shire/TB cross mare.   She has shown to 2nd level dressage with scores in the mid 60's and has been schooling 3rd level.   As her owner has had to take some time away from riding, Nyna is currently working at a 1st/2nd level and going out on the trails.   Nyna is level headed and fun to ride, but not a novice rider's horse. The owner would prefer an experienced, mature rider. RODDY Roddy, one of Kathy's most popular school horses, is now available for a 1 day per week lease at Poplar Lane Farm.   Roderick O'Way, or Roddy for short, is a 14.1 hh, dark bay, Connemara pony.   He was born on the summer solstice, and will be 16 years old on June 21st. Roddy recently won Reserve Champion in Western Dressage at the Wild N Wooly 2018 Dressage show series. He goes English and Western, and was for ten years a champion jumper.   He is good on the bit, has a consistent, balanced trot, and a wonderful easy canter.   And he loves to do flying changes! PAL Pal is a 7 year old Palomino 15hh QHx gelding. He is trained in basic dressage and loves going trail riding. We are located at a fantastic facility in North Saanich with a really great indoor, friendly boarders and facility owner, an outdoor jumping field, a heated washroom and good trails nearby. Pal has a great personality, and he is super friendly. He is level headed, not spooky, and has comfortable gaits, which makes him a pleasure to ride. He's ready to start showing in basic dressage or in hack shows. Pal is easy going enough that a capable novice will do fine on him, but because he's still young whoever leases him will need to be a confident and calm rider so that he keeps his happy go lucky outlook on life. To get the most out of your lease with Pal, riding lessons with our coach, Kathy Harrison, would be a must. Beyond that, lease days are quite flexible and we can work around your schedule.
