For sale is well cared for GP14 fiberglass sailing dinghy. The GP14 is one of the most popular class of sailing/racing dinghy in the UK with over 14,000 built and raced. It can hold 2-3 adults for racing, or a family of 4 for cruising quite comfortably. The ride is stable and dry. It is built for sailing in the North Sea so it takes our local ocean or lakes quite well. Good read here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GP14 The boat can be rigged with a small gas or electric motor (up to 4Hp). It currently has 2 stainless steel oarlocks. Boat includes 1 oar, along with the required safety equipment. The accents, seating, and rudder/tiller are all mahogany. All the wood has been refinished, sealed with epoxy, stained the varnished. The pivoting centerboard is newly built, reinforced with fiberglass and epoxy and painted for protection. The sails are original, emblazoned with the GP14 Bell logo and the hull number on the sails. It includes the main and jib. These sails are not for racing, but are more than sufficient for having fun on the water. The rigging has all been recently replaced - new halyards, sheets and a few rigging blocks. The boat can be rigged with a spinnaker however I do not own the proper equipment however all the mounting point and mast fixings are present. The trailer is steel i-beam with roller bunks and a manual winch and a 2" hitch. It has brand new LED lights and has been freshly painted with rust inhibiting paint. Wheel bearings run smoothly and have been freshly lubricated with grease (lugs too). This trailer can hold a much heavier boat. It does not have brakes on the wheels so maximum capacity is 3000lbs. The boat weights approximately 350lbs and the trailer is roughly 5-600lbs (has not been weighed) so can be towed by most vehicles. The trailer tires have good tread, however, if you are considering pulling this trailer long distances, I would consider replacing the tires and adding a spare.
