GIS Analyst

Aethon continues to grow and is looking to complement our team with GIS Analysts'. Overview: As a GIS Analyst you will be responsible for mapping assignments and adding value to the laser scanning 3D data feature coding department by working with various GIS software's, including the ESRI, Terrasolid, QGIS and Aethon Aerial Solutions Inc. custom software. The emphasis will be on tasks as they relate to GIS and Asset Mapping, and creating quality deliverables for our clients. Specific Responsibilities: * Process and sort Oblique imagery for delivery. * Set up and manipulate other Geo-referenced imagery, including Orthophotography. * Provide support for matching client and internal GIS data. * Create customized Aethon reports and other GIS related products for our clients. * Enter and manipulate data for loading into a client specific GIS. * Arrange point, line and polygon data into a GIS, as defined by the customer or internally. * Various GIS related tasks as required. * May occasionally be required to do LiDAR-specific tasks. * Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Desired Skills: * Strong technical and analytic skills * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment * Ability to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment * Strong attention to detail and time management skills * Strong computer and quantitative skills Desired Experience and Education: * 3 to 5 years of GIS analyst and related experience * Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography or related field * Proficiency with ESRI and/or other GIS mapping software an asset We invite you to take this challenge by forwarding your cover letter and resume.
