Front Desk Agent, Full Time, Seasonal
The Quality Inn Downtown is hiring for Front DeskAgent for the Spring/ Summer season. Responsibilities include taking reservations, checking guests in and out and concierge services. We're looking for a dynamic person with a warm personality to join our team. You are passionate about providing great customer service for each and every one of our guests. You have excellent conflict resolution skills and enjoy problem solving. You must be comfortable working within a team, as well as independently.
Prior experience in hotels is an asset but we hire for attitude and train for skills. If you are considering a career in hospitality, cross training opportunities are encouraged and we provide access to all staff members to on-line, Choice University skill upgrades and certification programs.
The Quality Inn Downtown offers competitive wages and a friendly and fair work environment. We are a small, tight-knit team where we all pull together for each other and where even the GM may be seen stripping beds. Pizza lunches and ice cream breaks are very common and cookies and chocolates are considered essential foods.
The successful candidate must be comfortable with working overnight between 11pm - 7am as he/ she will be cross-trained in Audit.
Front Desk experience is considered an asset. Availability during evenings, weekends and holidays is mandatory.

Reports to: Front Office Manager and General Manager
Skills, Education and Experience
Completion of High School or GED, or equivalent years of related work experience
Prior Night Audit experience will be an asset
Superior customer service skills
Basic accounting skills (ie. Cash handling + shift reconciliation)
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
