Learning French, prepping for school or wanting to improve?
I work with students of all levels, from preschoolers to adults. Whether you are learning French from scratch, need assistance with schoolwork, or are seeking to refine your skills in order to get a certification or promotion, I can help you or your children achieve your goals.
I have a Masters Degree from France and 28 years of experience tutoring, teaching and counselling in various settings. Although French is my native language, I am fluent in English to facilitate learning as we work our way up to a conversational level.
I have an excellent understanding of the regular British Columbia school curriculum in the French language for all levels. From the primary to secondary level, I have assisted students with french immersion courses, french first language courses, and provincial examinations.
For higher-level students, I have experience aiding in French undergraduate studies, french-immersion teaching certification, and even refining French as a second language for job opportunities and qualifications.
Studies have shown that one-on-one learning and even smaller, personalized group sessions are more efficient than larger classrooms and standardized learning.
My hours are flexible, we can arrange classes during the day, in the evenings, or on the weekends. I offer year-round support to students of all levels, home-schooled students, and students following online programs.
The hourly rate for an individual lesson is $35. Lessons can be held at the JDF, Westhills or the Saanich Centennial public library (Pearkes Recreation Centre).
