$16 · Food Service Worker/Housekeeper Downtown Nursing Home

We are looking for Food Service Worker/Servers/Dietary Aids and Housekeepers/ Laundry Workers/Floor Technicians to join our team at our long term care home. Many support services workers have started in housekeeping or food service and gone to school to become a Care Worker - RCA, Nurse, or Support Services Supervisor (we can help with your practicum hours). Excellent family friendly hours, casual home-like work environment, close to several bus routes (1,2, 3,10,30,31,50,70,71,72,75), close to many downtown amenities. As a casual working in a unionized environment, you start at $16.46/hour ($14.70 base plus $1.76 in lieu of benefits,vacation, and stat pay.) with an increase after probation. Housekeeping Qualifications: 1. Grade 10 or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 2. WHMIS Certificate an asset. 3. Available 7:00 am-2:30 pm for housekeeping, 6:30-2:00pm for laundry, and 3pm-7:00 pm for Floors. Food server/dietary aid: 1. Grade 10/equivalent 2. "Food Safe" Certificate; Level 1 required/Level 2 an asset 3. WHMIS Certificate an asset. 4.
