The Arbutus Ridge Golf Club is looking for the services of a Food & Beverage Manager/Event Coordinator Reporting directly to the General Manager & working closely with the Executive Chef, Management Team, the Food & Beverage team is responsible for ensuring the proficient operation of the Satellite Bar & Grille, as well as on course food & beverage. The successful candidate will be able to recognize the importance of contributing to a cohesive team environment; being an effective communicator; being efficient and organized with all aspects of the department; being a constant leader; supporting other members of the team; and providing service excellence to members and guests always. Expectations * Arrive to work at the scheduled time, dressed in your uniform and adhering to the dress code * Become knowledgeable & able to answer basic questions about the property, the restaurant, our services and our company * Serves food and beverages * Will be required to work on a shift basis, including weekends, evenings & holidays when necessary Knowledge * Must have Serving It Right Certificate * Possess a working knowledge of the POS System * Background experience in the golf industry is an asset but not necessary * Solid understanding of the golf club environment is an asset * Background in tourism and hospitality industry with extensive golf operations experience an asset * Education related to the restaurant industry or of a business nature WORK CHARACTERISTICS * Primarily inside work within a restaurant and office environment * Will be required to work mainly after 11:00am, including weekends, evenings and holidays * Must be able to work in a fast-paced and unsupervised environment BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION * Complimentary Golf & Tennis on a stand-by basis * Option to purchase goods from the Golf Shop for cost + 10% * Discount on food in the Satellite Bar & Grille for you and up to three guests Please see full Job posting https://arbutusridge.com/about/employment
