Fire Alarm Technician True & Able Fire Protection We continue to grow and are looking to add another alarm technician to our well respected fire protection company in Victoria, B.C. The position is full time (Monday - Friday) with competitive wages based on experience. We'd prefer an experienced technician, but we'll also provide training to the right applicant. We offer excellent pay with benefits and ongoing employee sponsored training as required. There is also an apprenticeship opportunity as a fire sprinkler fitter for the right candidate. All resumes taken in confidence (we will not contact your current employer) Skills and Abilities: − Excellent communication and customer service skills − Eager to learn and participate in training − Commitment to see each job through to the end − Ability to work independently and as part of a team − Class 5 Drivers License with clean drivers abstract − CFAA or ASTT preferred but not required − Backflow tester certificate an asset − Steel toe footwear and hard hat − Clean appearance - uniform shirts will be provided − Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding − Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 40lbs − Ability to walk and stand for long periods Responsibilities: − Responsible for inspection, service, installation and/or verification of the following systems: - Emergency Lighting - Fire Alarm Systems - Fire Extinguishers - Fire Hose and Standpipe Systems - Fire Sprinkler Systems − Maintain precise documentation of work - filling out work orders, test and maintenance reports − Onsite client oriented service; polite and respectful with both customers and fellow employees − Be responsible for the management, cleaning, and security of company vehicle stock, tools, and equipment Please submit your cover letter and resume in PDF or WORD format only.
