Female Only Home for Persian Cat Needed
It is with a very heavy heart that I am posting this ad. I've had Gino his whole life but he cannot acclimate to sharing his home with a man. We have spent a year trying via sequestering, medication, & other interventions but he is extremely unhappy with no prognosis for improvement (per the vet). He was well-socialized & has never experienced any abuse, at the hands of men or anyone else. When comfortable, Gino is a snugglebug who wants to be on or near you at all times. He will greet you at the door when you come home & loves to be carried around like a baby to ensure he's as close to your face as possible. He is not particularly playful but his purrs, face rubs, & ear kisses are very rewarding. He will dedicate one part of his personality to each woman in the household - one for snuggles, one for play. About your home: - Absolutely NO LIVE-IN MALES or the potential for one in future. This is a big ask & non-negotiable or he will end up with the same issues (spontaneous fear pooping, hissing, hiding, etc.). - Ideally, no other cats - No children under 12 - Indoor only - No laser toy play About Gino: 4 y/o Purebred golden chinchilla Persian Neutered, chipped, & vaccinated Fine with dogs - big & small Comes with food, litterbox, vet records, etc. Doesn't scratch furniture etc., ever Sheds minimally - Persians lose hair tufts/balls that can be picked up, rather than all over your clothes Not a jumper - Persians are not particularly dexterous so he is unable to jump on the counters, for example Not physically aggressive I will be asking for a rehoming fee ($350) to help me identify serious applicants who can afford to maintain a happy home for Gino. He is in excellent health at the moment, but this breed of cat can incur high vet costs as they age & he also needs to be groomed regularly.
