CALL FOR APPLICANTS Deadline: Monday, March 8 We are looking for 12 kids living in Victoria, ages 9-13, to participate in a new camp-style version of our 3 year touring, international hit Fashion Machine! Through classes online with professional artists in theatre, clothing manufacturing and design, children will explore sewing, design and learn about the fascinating world of the fashion industry. Over the week they will acquire new skills to remake existing outfits into unique creations. Each child will "meet" their model via a delivered box containing their model's information, pieces of an outfit, and all the sewing tools the participant needs. (If you do not own a sewing machine, we will provide one). They will then showcase their creativity and new skills by remaking their model's outfit. No previous experience is necessary. Completed outfits will be delivered to the model by SKAM. The model will showcase the new outfits as part of a pre-recorded show that compiles the whole experience.
