$1,450 · FOUR PIECE PREMIER SERIES BIRCH DRUMS FROM 2005 WITH HARD CASES
I have played these drums for the last 15 years, and had never considered selling. They are from the last series of top quality professional drum sets made in the Premier UK factory, and it is obvious that a huge amount of care and attention was put into their design and manufacture. However, I am getting on in years and with fewer pro gigs my smaller 18" kick gig set serves me well enough.
So, I have reluctantly decided to see if there is anyone interested in buying them. I need to make it clear that I am a reluctant seller. I will not be considering lowball offers, and I want to be sure that these drums will be played by someone who really appreciates them for what they are - first class 21st Century British-made Premier quality drums.
The drums are 20" x 16" kick drum with Remo P3 batter and Remo P3 Ebony front head, 10" x 8" and 12" x 9" suspended toms (bass drum double tom mount included) and 14" x 14" floor tom with legs. All toms have Remo Fiberskyn Ambassador batters and original Remo USA Everplay logo bottom heads.
The drum shells are 100% Finnish birch and are finished in Premier's White Marine Vintage wrap. All drums have the cast metal Premier badges. The unique lugs all have rubber gaskets. The lug inserts have a nylon liner which helps to prevent detuning. The suspended toms have the original Premier RIMS-style mounting system.
Other features of these drums are:
* 3mm undersize shells, which facilitate high sensitivity and tone
* Precision bearing edges
* Famous Diamond Chrome finish to all lugs, hoops and mounts, except the wood inlaid bass drum hoops, which also have matching design claws with rubber isolation gaskets.
One lug on the bass drum has very slight tom rash, but otherwise the drums are in the same shape that they left the factory. Any apparent variation in colour is a trick of the light in the pictures; the wrap is all-original and unblemished. The drums have been stored in hard cases, and these can be included in the sale. The list price for these four drums in 2005 was over $3000. I paid $400 for the cases. I have listed at $1450 for the drums and hard cases but will consider offers for the drums alone.
